• Jo’n Gera

  DVM

  Dr. Jo'n Gera graduated from St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of Grenada, West Indies in January 2004. She completed three years of school on the island and a final year of veterinary school at the University of Florida. Dr. Gera always knew she wanted to become a veterinarian and enjoyed her unique experiences that allowed her to achieve her goal. Dr. Gera keeps herself busy outside of work by spending time with her family of pets (hound dogs Ziggy & Rana, cockatiels Minnie & Keyon, & Jack the fish) and her boyfriend. She also enjoys working on crafts & hobbies (video games), and hopes to get back into snow skiing and mountain biking.

• Alison Barnstable

  VMD

  Dr. Barnstable is a graduate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, 2011. She also holds a Master of Science's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. While in veterinary school, she spent time working in developing countries to improve animal health and she organized educational programs for Philadelphia school children on animal care and safety. Dr. Barnstable joined VCA Lawrence Animal Hospital in September 2012. She believes that veterinary medicine is an integral part of a community and that maintaining the human-animal bond is paramount to maintaining a pet's health. Her professional interests include wellness and preventative care, senior care, and public health. When not at the hospital, Dr. Barnstable enjoys spending time with her family, three cats, and timid dog. She also enjoys rowing, being outdoors, reading, and cooking.

• Kristie Adrian

  DVM

  Dr. Kristie Adrian grew up in rural New Hampshire with a wide array of family pets, from dogs and cats, to birds, reptiles, and ferrets. She completed her undergraduate education in the White Mountains at Plymouth State University. She then attended veterinary school at Tufts University in Massachusetts before starting her career in Austin, Texas. Dr. Adrian and her husband embraced the Texan lifestyle by adopting the Texas state breed, the Blue Lacy dog, along with their toothless brindled mutt. Dr. Adrian worked in both a busy general practice seeing dogs, cats, and exotics, as well as a non-profit clinic providing services to lower income communities throughout Central Texas. Dr. Adrian moved to San Jose in 2013 and joined the VCA team. Dr. Adrian particularly enjoys dentistry, nutrition, general surgery, and preventative care. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with husband and two rescue dogs hiking in nearby parks. She enjoys photography, cooking, and traveling.

• Kristen Pitsinger

  DVM, Associate Veterinarian

  Dr. Pitsinger grew up in San Diego. She received her B.S. Animal Science and Management from U.C. Davis, and a minor in Managerial Economics in March 2005. Dr. Pitsinger earned her DVM degree from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in June 2014. She joined the VCA team in November 2014. Dr. Pitsinger has special interests in dermatology, soft tissue surgery, and preventative medicine. She enjoys working closely with clients to develop relationships that enable quality preventative care for their pets. In her free time, Dr. Pitsinger enjoys running, reading, shopping, traveling, and watching movies.
