  • Allison Veit, M.Sc.

    DVM

    Dr. Veit is originally from Wisconsin and has lived in the Bay Area on and off since 1988. She attended the University of California at Santa Cruz where she earned a degree in Marine Biology. For approximately 10 years she worked as a field biologist in Hawaii, Alaska, California and Canada, and earned a Master of Science degree in Biology. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from St. George's University and completed her senior year at North Carolina State University School of Veterinary Medicine. She joined VCA Vets & Pets in 2008. She is a current member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. She enjoys hiking, skiing, swimming, and spending time with her dog Leo.

  • Janice Lem-White

    DVM

    Dr. Janice Lem is a local, born and raised in Mountain View, California. She obtained her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Bioresource Sciences with Animal Emphasis from the University of California at Berkeley. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her senior year of clinics at the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine at Champaign-Urbana. She attended Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine for her clinical year of rotation. She has worked at several veterinary hospitals on Oahu, Hawaii and in the California Bay Area training with Board Certified Surgeons and Internal Medicine veterinarians in oncology, reproduction, and ultrasound. Dr. Lem joined VCA in October 2000, working first at VCA Kanoehe on Oahu and then at VCA Vets & Pets. Dr. Lem is a past member of the Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity and served as Co-President of UC Berkeley Cal Pre-Vet Society. She is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Lem's personal interests include mountain biking, running, backpacking, and snowboarding. She is married to husband, Matthew, and has a daughter, Jaden and a son, Keegan. She has a dachshund named Toffee and a Japanese Akita named Kimura. The family is rounded out by her 2 cats, Otter Boo and Splash of Sunshine.

  • Kristin Barron

    DVM

    Dr. Kristin Barron was born and raised in central Ohio. She attended the University of Findlay where she majored in biology and pre-veterinary medicine. While at Findlay, she enjoyed playing on the varsity volleyball team. After graduating, she went on to attend veterinary school at The Ohio State University. Dr. Barron's first professional home after graduation was at the Animal Care Centers in Cincinnati, Ohio. While working for Animal Care Centers, she also had the chance to perform spays, neuters, preventive care and emergency medicine at a local humane society. Dr. Barron joined the VCA family in January 2011 at All About Pets in Union City, California. She joined our team at Vets & Pets in August 2011. She is a current member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Barron's personal interests include playing volleyball, dancing and fishing. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, Kurt, their dog, Blanche, and cat, Shelly.
